Forget sanding, varnishing, and chemicals. Here is a simple, 10-minute guide to keeping uPVC frames looking brand new.
One of the primary benefits of uPVC is its zero-maintenance lifecycle. Unlike wood, which requires sanding and varnishing to prevent rot, or aluminum, which can suffer from pitting and corrosion, uPVC is completely inert. To keep your frames looking pristine, follow this easy checklist twice a year: First, wipe off loose dust. Second, wipe the frames with warm soapy water (mild dish detergent is perfect). Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, or solvent cleaners. Third, clean window tracks of sand or debris to ensure smooth operation. Finally, apply a drop of light machine oil to locking hinges to keep them rotating smoothly.
